'Dyslexia'
A learning difficulty that affects reading and writing ability
Dyslexia is a complex learning difficulty which impacts on a learner's ability to read, write and count. Neurobiological in origin, dyslexia persists across the lifespan.
The word 'dyslexia' comes from the Greek and means 'difficulty with words'. Persons with dyslexia (said to be Dyslexic) may have difficulty remembering, recognizing, and or reversing written letters, numbers, and words, might read backwards, and have poor handwriting.
